Vantaggi

Well structured, well thought out management style. Well thought out process for moving to the "next level" in the company. Excellent communication from management. Depersonalized approach to dealing with mistakes. Strong focus on client satisfaction. Strong focus on employee satisfaction.

Svantaggi

Not enough room for advancement. Too process oriented, to the detriment of getting tasks done. Recording and reporting systems antiquated.

Vantaggi

Great place to start when coming straight out of college, and want to get into tech. Flexibility to learn what you want when there is downtime. The company has been around a long time and know the industry well.

Svantaggi

Not much room for advancement. Work comes in waves, so sometimes things are very busy and other times there are not.

Vantaggi

No micromanaging. No problematic team members. Company doesn’t have a “dude bro” culture (e.g big tech companies that make you do ice breaker activities during meetings). Testing won’t be the only thing in your repertoire, so you’ll have additional experience in various hardware/software you’ll be able to add in your resume. You’ll only “have a talk” with management if you really deserve it (in my case, arriving a minute or 2 late every day for about a week straight). Management understands this a very entry level job and want the best for you, so there won’t be any bad blood should you find a better opportunity. Everyone is very straight forward, they understand you’re here to work so they won’t put on a “we’re more like a family here” facade.

Svantaggi

Work comes in waves as mentioned in other reviews, so take advantage of your downtime and take some courses (Udemy, Coursera, etc.) that you’re interested in. Certain projects can have very repetitive tasks so sometimes, you’ll do the same exact tests on different hardware for up to weeks at a time. Pay is nowhere near a livable wage in the Bay Area, so make the best of your situation by studying courses as mentioned above and getting certifications to make your resume pretty and get a better tech job.
