-Raytheon was recently acquired by UTC and is transitioning away from being a technology leader. No longer a great place to have a career developing technology. Opportunities exist but will continue to diminish. - Benefits/compensation/engineering grades have recently been reduced to UTC's offerings and are not as strong as direct competitors - Staff turn over is very high (this is a recent post acquisition phenomena). The best engineering staff is finding better opportunity at technology companies. Morale is very poor. - Engineering career path progression has recently been greatly reduced and eliminated in many cases - Loss of experienced engineering talent is so high that junior level employees are having a hard time finding mentors to teach them.
