Upper management is too busy being insulted and hurt by any critisms to actually try to create a truly comfortable relationship with their own employees. The turnover is high because of inconsistent management and the pressure put on the staff to make up for their unwillingness to invest in a professional appearing offices. They hire people who lack the skillset to perform a job that management itself does not understand. Their employees are pitted against each other for sales and allowed to neglect other important aspects of the job.
