Cliques galore among staff which could easily be remedied with good management. Which is to say that very poor management is in operation, particularly middle management, in my experience, in food and beverage. From this there is a trickle down effect: some people are allowed weekends off, others not. Some are given more mornings than evenings and vice versa. There are very poor and outmoded attitudes young people and towards women in particular. Cultural differences should not be an issue in 2022. Condescension, arrogance, ignorance, and inappropriate behaviour also exists. It’s essentially hospitality frozen in time.
