Vantaggi

Having been here the last two years, I think the engineering culture here is wonderful -- very builder oriented (no EMs hired externally), humble, ambitious leadership team, interesting technical problems, tons of growth opportunities. Peers are inspiring and customers really love the product.

Svantaggi

The mission is simple - to save our customers time and money -- and though it's pure for a b2b company, but it's ultimately about automating financial operations which can at times feel less than inspiring. Though all the pros (amazing growth, culture, peers, and work) feel like they heavily outweigh this.

Vantaggi

By and large, customers really like the product. A great fit exclusively for individuals early in their careers with zero external obligations (e.g. no relationship, no children, no friends you intend to speak to or spend time with), no dependency on work-life balance, and a desire to make work their entire identity. If you want to log 100+ hour weeks surrounded by a highly elitist culture, you will thrive here.

Svantaggi

Do not be blinded by the marketing or media coverage. The 'rocketship' narrative is sustained by extreme human collateral. Long-term employees who are candid will tell you that the environment demands the total sacrifice of your health, relationships, and personal life. Retention is incredibly low for a reason - working here is not sustainable if you do not maintain absolute, total focus on Ramp alone. As you can read in every other recent review, work-life balance is fundamentally nonexistent across the entire organization. Expect to work 7 days a week, 15-16 hours a day. Calendar micromanagement is severe; you will be reprimanded for a 15-minute block for lunch or brief breaks between hours of consecutive meetings. The culture resembles an elitist hazing environment in a corporate setting. Management relies heavily on psychological pressure, intimidation, and criticism designed to diminish confidence rather than develop skills. The company looks successful from the outside, while the people working within absolutely crumble under the unsustainable pressure. While the base compensation packages look attractive on paper, when calculated against the actual hourly output required to survive here, you are effectively taking a massive pay cut compared to almost any other market-rate SaaS role. Take the reviews here seriously. Do not fall into the trap of believing your work ethic or boundaries will make your experience different.
