I had a very successful career at Randstad up until the last three years. Upper management is loaded with zero sales talent or leadership. Mostly operational people that micromanage through spreadsheets, conference calls and a database. Almost all of them are robotic and have very little substance, ability to inspire or an understanding of how relationship based sales works.
The company has become way to big and very few divisions have any synergy. Randstad could land an onsite and will give the business to direct competitors rather than have their field offices fill roles. The culture, environment and process is so broken it's almost unfixable at this point. Forget about career progression because it doesn't exist. Once you get into management you're a slave to a daily process that makes most of the managers want to quit or question life. Just about everyone that leaves ends up getting sued or threatened with a suit.
I feel bad for a lot of the talented people that are still there driving business from the field. The corporate nonsense they have to endure is so outdated they'll never retain any real talent let alone millennials seeking opportunity, collaboration, incentives, etc....
If you enjoy a robotic grind, this is the place for you. If you want a place where you don't have the ability to think for yourself, this place is great. If you're looking for a cube to be chained to where you're micromaneged all day, you'll love Randstad. What a disgrace this company has become.....
