You will be more disciplined once you start working (client calls and SLA’s will teach you the importance of time:) Better pay with benefits. Everything looks so sophisticated. You get to learn several new applications and technologies. we learn how to unlearn and relearn the things although its difficult at the outset. Coffee becomes your best buddy.You start enjoying your coffee breaks:) You get to interact with great leaders and managers and know their experiences which surely motivates us to grow. If there is healthy and friendly competition, you develop yourself and can emulate many things from your co-workers. Unlike we hear, our colleagues are very friendly and co-operative (with some exceptions) You get to meet and know different type of people. There is a lot of scope to grow and advance in your career depending upon your interest, you can choose any platform to move on once you complete the probation period. (its one year for most of the companies) There are many trainings available which would be sponsored by the company if you are interested to take up. We have education at work policies, you can do your masters or specialization and once you complete it company would pay 60% of it. We can enjoy the company parties every six months and rejuvenate ourselves.

If you are a sweet person who cannot say NO, people take advantage of you. If you are not in good books of the manager, you shall suffer your life in getting leaves and permissions. At times your career growth completely depends on how friendly you are with your manager (Only some times). No job security, one mistake and the company can terminate you without considering your experience or knowledge (happened with few of my ex-colleagues) If you are a more friendly person, you become a hot topic to gossip, we need to know our limits and play smart. We can never trust anyone.
