Vantaggi
There's a startup and hustle mentality from the old days where people can get things done under short time and stress. Most people are friendly and ok to work with. If you meet gamers, it's very nice to discuss ideas with like-minded people. Razer is quick to pick up trends and gamers lingo as you can see from the social media presence. I've met great people here who taught me different things. Sometimes you get to trial new gaming equipment and use them in the office.
Svantaggi
Slow career growth and slow pay adjustments, I mean who cares! Sometimes it feels like a retirement place because it's so lean sometimes, and there is so much to do - there's no opportunities to move up (some people are there for years), learn new things after 2 years or get to lead a team. KPIs are impossibly high to hit. Sometimes, people will use the 'Min' card to brute force their way to get things done and achieve their own goals, resulting in competition and not collaboration (which they like) Understand when there's reduced headcount and budget, but with the turnover being so high - why does it take months to fill available headcount? Lastly, it's very difficult to work with the global marketing team as any other marketer. Put aside your ego and learn to respect different opinions, different way of doing things, data-driven choices and gamers' insights.
