The people are among the brightest you'll ever meet. There is no shortage of challenges, and it's a good place to sharpen your teeth.

There is no loyalty to employees. Executives flat-out lie to clients in order to get them to sign contracts, and then the employees are left holding the bag. Everything is an exercise in futility, as meeting the deadlines and promises made in the pre-sales phase is often impossible. Core platform features are sold before they have been developed - sometimes before they are even planned - and it's a constant scramble to get things accomplished. The turnover is HIGH, so there's a revolving door of new people trying desperately to come up to speed in their role while simultaneously attempting to tackle difficult and time-sensitive problems. There is a serious lack of integrity at the upper levels of management, which results in a lot of 'do as I say, not as I do.'

The peers and friends you will make are the pros. I would describe working at Levels Beyond as a traumatic experience. The emotionally draining and bullying culture that comes from the leaders will create a close bond with your peers who are experiencing the same thing.

The leadership is the reason this company has failed. They have none of the following: leadership skills, knowledge of software development best practices, HR basics, diversity awareness, employee satisfaction or empathy. The leaders are unable to have open and honest conversations. If you do bring up concerns, they will disagree and stop listening immediately. They do not invest in their employees or their software. It was common to hear leadership blame former employees for the company's failure. This was disheartening because the employees here work extremely hard, are incredibly smart, and resilient.
