      Some subtle changes with one of the worst directors finally retiring but the President and others remains inept. Staff morale is only considered when the leadership makes revenue goals. Good location with some limited perks.

      It's the "software" company, by no means a real example of an ideal working tech environment. - Plagued by inexperienced and inept managerial staff - Company does not practice nor encourage the core values it communicates to employees - Promotion and career advancement is based on politics instead of proven aptitude and skill set - Managers don't understand strength of staff and their skills and often slot them into roles their ill-suited - Little to no growth opportunity beyond entry / mid-level positions - Integrity and quality are far too often sacrificed in order to meet "the bottom line" - Those that question the status quo often see retaliation directly from top management. - Great opportunities for people with little to no pride in their work, few applicable skills and that enjoy doing the bare minimum

      As a small company it is true there can be limited opportunity for growth, however we do promote from within whenever possible and have a handful of employees that have moved from Tech Support into Development and IT roles. I cannot speak for this reviewer's specific experiences, but management absolutely does not retaliate against questions or ideas, nor does the company compromise integrity under any circumstance. If any employee were to find themselves in a questionable situation, I hope they would feel comfortable speaking up or speaking to me directly.       This company has a lot of different technologies. They are in the training space and provide tools and access to systems for training purposes. Because of that they have several software projects going on and if you are interested you can learn a lot. From my experience I can say that what I learned working there has helped me tremendously in other jobs.

      I'm part of the sales/marketing team, so my feedback is only based on working with this team. - It's cool working for a company that powers the online training programs of amazing companies like Google, Esri, Tableau, Johnson Controls, FICO - Flexibility around your role; people with initiative, curiosity and drive will thrive here - Ideas are pushed forward on merit ... no company is perfect, but ReadyTech is more merit-based than other companies I've worked for - Transparent and no-nonsense culture, great if you have a "let's get it done" attitude - Well-run and conservative with regards to finances; aggressive and innovative with regards to product development and technology - Great mix of junior, middle and experienced people - so new ideas are mixed with established norms - Great location in Uptown Oakland within 5 minutes of public transport, restaurants, bars, Lake Merritt, Whole Foods - Generous retirement plan at 33% 401k match with no cap - Work-life balance is encouraged and generous

      - If you need structure and a well-defined box, you could struggle at ReadyTech because of how rapidly things change - Lots of tech companies moving to Uptown Oakland, so the easy parking and low(er) costs might not last
