Vantaggi
Joined as an FTC and was made permanent with thanks to my persistent manager. In a global function, and geographically split team, I had lots of flexibility with where I could work, so was remote, which they are now tightening up on. I was thankful to have been sponsored through some external training to develop for a role I was interested in [which never actualised due to reorganisation]. See 'cons' re: re-org - Genuinely, before the re-org, and once the re-org is over, I'm sure Reckitt will become a great place to work again.

Your experience may depend on who your manager is, and the team dynamic. I had a few different managers and some were micro-manager-y, quite transactional, not invested in my growth [was an FTC at this time though], others are very supportive and helped me to grow. A huge problem I faced was banding - I found out I was being compensated below my banding which was disappointing. Again I had a persistent manager who campaigned for me however changes here were blocked by HR due to re-org. It seems that the managers do not have much visibility or control re: reward. Lastly, I was disappointed with how the re-org played out. Not just that I lost my job as a result, but it took so long [nearly a year] for the re-org to affect my function, and the communication and leadership was very poor, which meant we were running off anxiety for a year, which naturally affects team moral. It is very painful for your dept head to excitedly announce with a smile on their face that finally next week our team's re-org plans will be announced, followed by being told the next week that I'm being made redundant as a result of these plans.
