Vantaggi
Some of the best friends I've had in a long time, I met through Recover Health.
Svantaggi
Where do I even begin? The training is non-existant. If you ask for help you're told you should already know where to find the information, or, more often than not, there is no one around to help. The turn over is ridiculous, and it has nothing to do with the clients or the work itself. It's the pay and the management. When a new Regional Director comes in, thinking she knows better than those who have put their blood, sweat, and tears into an office, there's a huge problem. I've spent many years as a supervisor, and that is the absolute worst thing you can do when taking over a new office or region. They don't care. When things start to fail, they pass the buck. Upper level management would rather blame everything on former employees, when it's obvious they were the only people who cared. They like to set expectations at unattainable levels, just so they can blame you when it fails. KNOW YOUR DEMOGRAPHICS, PEOPLE! Don't give the job of 3 people to 1, and wonder why they're struggling. And then turn around and have 3 people doing that job after they leave because, "It's too much work for one person." maybe listen to your employees? Just a thought. Don't expect to grow overnight. Don't expect to be the best thing since sliced bread, when you have a huge, established competitor as your next door neighbor. Maybe it works in bigger cities, but smaller ones? No way. At this point I tell people to run. The pay is crap, the workload is unfair, and it's just not worth it. I used to encourage people to apply as it can be the most rewarding job, and homecare is it's own breed. Recover Health has ruined that for me.
