The agency trusts and values its employees allowing them work on a variety of projects and deliverables. Exposing employees to a range of assignments and responsibilities (starting early on) enables them to develop skills that may not be possible at other companies. The Red Fan team is amazing and comprised of extremely talented PR practitioners from diverse professional backgrounds. It's a collaborate environment where teamwork, culture and employee satisfaction are very important to the company. There is always someone to listen, help and guide you from small daily tasks all the way up to career trajectory conversations. The workload, projects and timelines can be demanding at times, but that's the nature of PR and is common throughout the industry (not unique to this agency).

Red Fan has easily been the best agency I've worked for, and Kathleen has been the best boss I've ever had. I have experience at several global agencies, where I was often siloed into a couple of tasks that I performed daily, weekly or monthly. That's simply not the case at Red Fan. - Employees are asked to contribute to accounts, internal marketing and new business in a variety of ways, giving entry level employees great opportunities to acquire new skills and develop existing ones, while giving mid- to late-career employees new growth and leadership opportunities. Every employee, even entry level, is client-facing in some capacity. Kathleen is always willing to sit down one-on-one with employees at every level. - Management is incredibly transparent and always open to change/criticism if it benefits the agency and its employees. They are also very perceptive of employees' strengths and put them in the best possible position to succeed and grow personally. -The agency's culture is second to none, with frequent offsites, agency-wide book discussions, happy hours, breakfast days, fully stocked fridge, etc. The agency operates out of a historic home in Hyde Park in Central Austin. - Compensation and benefits are extremely competitive for an agency of Red Fan's size, and management does a great job of tying incentives to individual and agency performance. -The agency stresses a healthy work/life balance and is results-oriented, with flexible scheduling when needed. - Great mix of clients, from B2B tech to food and beverage. Employees are given opportunities to work on clients of all types, and to specialize in particular areas of strength as needed.
