I loved my time at Red House and am so thankful for how much they taught me. You get the chance to work on a range of projects and the work is really fast paced. The creative team was strong when I was there and I loved my team. The processes at Red House are thoughtful and thorough and make it possible to learn a lot of the projects quickly and ensure quality. I've carried a lot of these with me. My clients were amazing and I really enjoyed working with top tier marketing teams from around the world. I'm really proud of what I achieved while at Red House. I really loved working with Dan when I was there. He's fantastic at creative and it was a privilege to work alongside him and try to absorb some of his strategic thinking on our projects. He was great at steering a project back on course and had a fun energy. My coworkers were a joy to work with, but most have moved on to other opportunities.
Svantaggi
Regularly oversells the capabilities of the team, leaving a big gap between their capacity and the promises made to the client. Few employees are left to manage way too much work (think promising a 45 person team when there are 15 people on staff). A series of poor hiring decisions meant those gaps really started showing. No great benefits and no flexibility. No work from home, which could be a challenge if you don't love an open office to work. There was a general feeling of not being appreciated or recognized for your work, except on individual teams. Success didn't translate into more compensation or privileges, just even more work. It felt like achieving something in a really short timespan meant that was now your new deadline instead of recognizing how hard you had to work to make it happen. They regularly hire people with little experience and have a high turnover - the people who made my experience there amazing are almost all gone.
