I started as an intern and the program was great! As an intern, it's important to understand that you need to build trust with your mentor(s) from the very beginning. Don't expect to have all this responsibility. Once you establish that trust and work hard, you may be given more tasks. My fellow interns, as well as the staff, were all great to work with. You can see the passion everyone has for the industry and their clients. I really appreciated the Intern Coordinator's effort to put together little sessions/workshops (i.e. contracts, Q&A's with managers). Due to everyone's busy schedules, it's hard to find time to talk with a manager or others in the office. Those workshops give interns the ability to sit down and pick their brains. You also get nice perks such as going to shows :)

If I really had to write a "con" it would be that the program doesn't really offer "full-time" interns - you go in roughly 2-3 days a week. It was a requirement for my program to work at least 560 hours over 13 weeks which was a little hard to meet. However, this really wasn't an issue. Also, to address the con of "difficulty in getting a job" - while this may be true, just having the internship program of working with Red Light will really boost your resume!
