I started at RV as a digital marketing analyst right out of college, and I couldn't picture a better company to start my career with. Great starting salary for an entry-level marketing position, that moves up quickly if you're a high-performer. Tons of onboarding and ongoing training to constantly develop and learn. High stakes presentation opportunities. High impact work on huge brands right out of the gates. Not to mention the company intramural sports, which I took full advantage of. If you're reading this because you're a college student with an offer letter, go ahead and sign it.

RV doubled in size while I was there, and though I grew in responsibility and title, I felt as though I was getting lost in the growth of the company. At first, I considered RV to really promote based on merit, but with the size, saw a shift more towards people who played the politics and looked best up on stage. Plenty of companies have the churn and burn model where you're expected to work 60 hour weeks in your first few years and if successful, settle into a cushier management position. At RV those hours never stop. At every level, you see people put in 12 hour days to keep up with the pace. It was something that I was happy to do for my single years out of school, but not what I wanted long-term for myself and my family. While RV has great training for new college grads, I would caution people applying in with outside experience for more senior positions. You will immediately be thrown into the mix, and it will be highly dependent on your team and manager as to how much support you have.
