Vantaggi

Allowed me to learn that I have a voice and it must be used when witnessing an unfair work environment. And to value my health and well being over a job that exhaust you.

Svantaggi

I started as a temporary employee very eager to do well and grow with the company. It didn’t take me long to realize that no matter the amount of creativity, hard work, and compassion I had for the customers, I was completely undervalued. Instead, the owner found it better to make me jump through hoops for other employees. The favoritism was inappropriate and demoralizing. After a while of not knowing if they wanted me full time I practically had to beg for an answer. Later I find out the owner simply didn’t believe in me. They saw me and my age (being the youngest) as an unpredictable young women who they had to keep their eye on. They decided to bring me in full time. When I began this job I was a soft spoken but consistently driven employee because I could sense they still didn’t see my worth. It didn’t take me long to see that I was jumping through hoops for employees who were clearly not fit for that particular position. Going shopping and on business trips, the owner would often favorite these exact employees over the hard working individuals instead of holding them accountable for their negligence. The lack of improvement would effect me the most due to the plethora of mistakes that were made DAILY. Once I started to ask questions as to why I am going out of my way for underperforming colleagues, they kept telling me “something will be changed” every single month. Until I realized that things were just getting worse and I was being constantly lumped in the same category of people who did not perform well. Soon enough my physical health was in jeopardy and I was battling very serious issues. I tried explaining the physical effects I was having to my employer and they showed little care about my health and more focus on me providing “proof”. It was apparent that the amount of stress from constantly going out of my way for this company, put my health at risk. When I would miss work due to this, and stopped going out of my way, I experienced animosity from some employees who not once asked me if I was ok but were concerned for others when they had a common cold. The older colleagues see young people as a nuisance and often generalized me with the rest of my youth. Inappropriate comments and questions were also made about me losing weight by management. Not taking into consideration my recent health scares. The owner of this company will mascaraed his intentions as “helping” their sub prime customers. When in reality the only drive is money and status. I don’t think he is a bad person. But he has everyone there feeding into his delusion that the success of any delinquent applicant falls on the service agents diligence. It is an immense amount of pressure to put on people when in reality the customers we finance are DELINQUENT. If you don’t magically get customers to call in and pay then they see something wrong with you. Maybe it’s because the company is focused way too much on manipulating the customers with free handouts as a pose to solving the issue at hand with the individual IF they decide to call in. Instead their focus is on redeeming repossessions that only end up getting repo’d again and again. Their entire system needs to change. Any time I spoke on these topics to management I was always called “sensitive”, and “defensive”. Words that are used to describe a women that is simply expressing her concerns in the workplace, but when a man does the same thing they would listened and nod. Ironically I was never a person who openly spoke about my concerns in the workplace. This place pushed me far enough to WANT to be heard. If you make mistakes, you can count on the receptionists to make u feel like less of a person with her parasitic and negative attitude towards everyone that comes into her proximity on the wrong day (which is most days). Only for management to worship the ground she walks on because she bring donuts and “dots her I’s”. I could not take being stretched too thin any longer and decided to leave. If you want to be overworked, undervalued, and convinced this company has your best interest- then work here. But you’ll soon realize that the favoritism and poor management there leads to a toxic environment asking way too much out of you. Good luck if you want to work for RedRock, or whatever company they change their name to. Which is only to cover up their bad reputation yet again...
