Vantaggi
Reecetech does offer a number of ways to improve your development skills, particularly across legacy applications as they still rely heavily on ancient tech and applications that have received very few updates. Expect to be expected to learn things quickly with little support. While you can work from home, there is significant pressure to return to office. The office is lovely, especially if you're in the area for it, with decent amenities inside and around the area. Development staff, especially junior to mid level, are good people but there's little culture to inspire talking to them outside of occasional Workday posts.
Svantaggi
Management like to apply pressure and organisation is not good. Projects rarely hit deadlines. Developers are expected to work overtime, sometimes this is enforced and required even on weekends. Leave is not respected and you will often be asked to work while on leave. Revolving door of staff - only very senior staff are consistent, even their numbers are dwindling, which makes learning their systems challenging when nobody is left who understands their intricacies. Pay is far lower than industry norms, and growth is limited as you will not be given time to learn. Ignore claims that you can switch between teams if you want to change your focus, they will deny it due to the issues with staffing. Performance reviews are practically non-existent and team culture is horrendous, with standups extending for 40+ minutes regularly and both BAs and upper management berating developers publicly for perceived failings. Salary increases do not reflect changing conditions and take place once a year after you have spent a year with the company. If you join in January, do not expect your salary increase until the following November.
