The location’s cost of living is as high as living in NYC. The pay is high but once you factor in cost of living (think $4000 one bedroom apartments and $30 sandwiches for lunch) it bites. Promotions only happen once every 4-5 years if you are lucky. The salary increases and bonuses are low even though the company brings in record profits.
