The leadership team cares deeply about the problem their trying to solve in the market, and about their employees. We have a weekly all-team call and the CEO said how the employees are #1, but not in the usual corporate way. He said that you have to take care of yourself, that you are the most important, and what you want to do matters most. Then customers, etc. The company expends a lot of effort to ensure that Relay is a highly desirable place to work. The work is also meaningful - we are solving big problems, in innovative ways, and each have a great deal of autonomy to own a solution. If you want a chance to actually do something and build something, this is somewhere you want to work. While there is a lot of work to be done, it's also flexible. Be present at your meetings, but if you are starting your day later than usual because of a late day-care drop off, everyone is supportive. Same goes for appointments, or finding when you do your best work. As long as you're communicating with your team(s) and get your work done, you are flexible to do it how you wish.

This is a startup - there is a lot of work to be done. Don't view it as a cozy role, because to get to do all of the great things you have to put in the work.
