Vantaggi
as they have quite a few sites in London, it is easy to end up working for them.
Svantaggi
As a job applicant, I have been told more than a month after working on one of their sites that I was overqualified but rejected for a full-time position as the new manager was looking for a " wow factor"(their words), even though they do not come from property management background but rather from the catering industry. Regardless of skill, experience, feedback from residents, all they are looking for are faceless numbers that with a big grin and servile attitude stand behind a desk, rather than offer any actual help, advice or support to residents. As with a few other sites I worked at, what they are more interested in are the small insignificant things like a paper left "untidily" on a desk rather than fixing a broken lift or answering the resident's complaints. It is all about a so called 5 star facade of regimented drones with name tags rather than creating a pleasant environment for the residents. As an employee, the worst thing that one can do is to give a suggestion based on experience or to correct a decree released via a memo from above. Managers, it seems, forget that they are ultimately offering their services for the benefit of residents rather than expecting to be "educated" on how to live in their own flats, what they can or what they cannot do in their own homes. I have been plainly told that residents need to be educated, their rights restricted to accommodate the ideas and goals of the managers. As for opportunities for the concierge to go up in the company, one can forget about it. They are there to be drones, strung puppets with no initiative or ideas on what would make life better for the residents. I am sorry to say that all they care is prestige and numbers rather than resident or staff satisfaction.
