Vantaggi

The best thing about Rennert were the people that worked there (non-managers). Teachers and administrative staff are intelligent, supportive and a fun group. Work conditions encourage staff to be very close/commiserate and many of the people I worked with are still friends of mine today. Could be a good place to get your feet wet if you don't have any experience in the industry but not ideal to be there more than a year.

Svantaggi

Low pay, very little vacation time (1 week per year and not allowed to take vacation during the summer which is late may-sept), little room for advancement, lots of work and no overtime during peak seasons, management can be overbearing and is disconnected from the every day work that staff does to keep business afloat.

Vantaggi

Amazing people who truly love and believe in the work that they do. A great first job for a career in international education. Good work/life balance. Tell them what you need, and they will help you achieve that time or schedule.

Svantaggi

ExecVP is a micromanager to the point where very little can get done. The smallest details down to choice of copier paper, font type or book selection have to go through her. She has excellent insight, but creates a huge bottleneck that can delay projects for a long time, sometimes years. 2014/2015 was not a great financial year for Rennert. The company had a small layoff in 2015, but the cascading departure of a large number of the staff (many who have been here for years) really decimated the company, and left it a husk of its former operating capacity. Wages are very low, especially for young women. Great place to work, but Rennert is unable to pay livable wages at low levels. Most haven't had raises in many years. CEO is nice but very out of touch with staff and day to day workings of the company. Worked there many years, and he never really knew anyone's name outside of executive staff.
