Vantaggi
Enjoyed working with my coworkers and the tech I worked on was interesting.
Svantaggi
- RMS will promise raises/promotions/bonuses for going the extra mile, then completely forget about it a couple months later when you've racked up 100+ hours of overtime
- C-suite likes to shout, slam their fists, punch the wall, etc.. on the table when discussing deadlines. I was told that witnessing this first-hand was kind of like a rite of passage when I was new
- Management will argue constantly when you estimate how long a task will take, then they'll point to that estimate weeks later as an excuse to micromanage you
- Management will argue with your estimate for a task you will most likely be working on later, then demand an explanation when another developer doesn't finish it within your estimate
- C-suite doesn't "believe in giving yearly raises" or adjusting for inflation. That was a direct quote from the CEO. You're expected to be fine with your purchasing power dropping every year you stay at RMS
- If RMS finds you useful enough, expect a constant struggle to maintain work-life boundaries
- No one in management will have your back under any circumstance
