- toxic culture - no work life balance - KPIs-focused approach - unrealistic targets - lack of space for self-development - agency-like recruitment environment (basically a call centre) - employees (and candidates) are only numbers - senior managers treating TA team like their employees instead of partners I joined Revolut hoping to grow in a modern company and be able to contribute to its development. Oh, how mistaken I was! Revolut is a place where you work on assembly line, delivering numbers, not hiring people. Expectations towards the candidates are ridiculous and they are assessed upon unrealistic expectations that that fit only a small % of people on the market. Senior management claims to be looking for A-players, but they really want to support posh culture of self-admiration. What is more, final decision on hiring is made by a single person reporting directly to CEO (so no escalation path...). I have seen brilliant people being rejected and the only feedback there was 'No'/'No hire'/ 'Fail' despite very positive results on previous stages. My onboarding took 3 days, after a week I started to fully do the work. There is no cultural immersion, you just need to join and start delivery. Once per month there are fancy parties in the offices, but people just come to eat, drink and speak to 1-2 people they know - we all do not know each other and the company has done nothing to change it. The company states to like 'self-starters' which only means you should learn on your own with limited resources, preferably without asking questions. Work life balance? Forget it - the first day of onboarding day you are told 'remember that the local labour law allows you to register up to 32hrs of overtime per month'. If you still decide to maintain w/l balance, it is going to be brought up to your directly. I mean, flexible hours are great and I do understand that sometimes you need to stretch your calendar, but it doesn't mean you should spend your every breathing moment at work. Overall, you are as good as your last quarter - you could overachieve a few quarters in a row, but if you underdelivered one, you shall be let go (that happened to a few people after Q2 review).
