Vantaggi
I met and worked with some truly great people. It was wonderful to have an annual sales conference to network and learn from everyone at different levels. I had the unique opportunity to meet some great people within the restaurants that I created and fostered relationships with.
Svantaggi
The pros went out the door along with the sales and in-house employees who were the glue to customer retention and growth.People who kept the company moving as a pretty well oiled machine. People who understood the business and were true team players with strong work ethic. There was a time that RN used to be a pretty decent and exciting company and one we could feel proud of working for. (Of course not without challenges and need of product growth.) What did start with work/life balance became an over-micromanaged environment with negativity and fear in the form of leadership. Given this, the pros have diminished. There is a lack of true leadership from regional (not all-but many) to the western V.P. and upward. There has been too much dissension and "high school drama" type management style. Unfortunately the V.P. turns a blind eye and doesn't want to address it with some of his regional managers, instead appears to condone unprofessional behavior. There is a great disconnect and lack of qualified management. Some managers definitely slipped through the cracks without having true experience managing outside sales teams. Some managers were promoted and never should have been, lacking the objectivity and experience to manage multiple regions. It was more important to many managers to have a "loyal click" than experienced and ethical team players. (The latter may have made their managers feel inferior due to lack of confidence and ability to objectively manage.) I was sad to have reached the point to make the decision to leave. **For the sales person who posted a positive review about Los Angeles, you are lucky. You have a great manager. Many have not been as fortunate as you. **
