I was given an opportunity by a former manager to join this company with no sales experience so I am grateful for the risk they took hiring me.

The company is still in start-up and cannot afford to compensate their employees. Poor leadership decision led to multiple layoffs in during my time there. As the last standing sales professional, I was made promises that were never delivered and ultimately laid off. There is no sales department now and the company cannot get any investors to take their bait. What started with 50+ employees now has 13-15 left doing all the work to maintain customer growth.

It's a young company so, as expected, everyone wears multiple hats, takes on many tasks and the boundaries of responsibility aren't always clearly defined. In my opinion that just means there is a ton of opportunity to make an impact, have your voice heard and experiment with your own personal goals and career direction!
