Politics (lot of infighting between schools and departments), extremely siloed, Few opportunities for advancement (flat organization), little or no mangement training opportunities, understaffed across departments - run on skeleton crews, pay is significantly lower than other universities (public schools), management inherits people that have stayed on for 20-30 years and have not stayed current on skills/ or refuse to do something that other people in their roles required to do because they have gotten away with not doing it for decades
