At Rituals in Ireland, you are granted a one hour unpaid break for an 8 hour shift, which is in line with legal requirements. It is, however, a deviation from best practice and industry standards in customer facing sales roles, where the norm is to receive a 15 minute paid break on top on the hour unpaid. Companies make this allowance in order to be courteous to staff and respectful of their wellness needs, and its unfortunate that this isn't a concern or priority for Rituals.
