Upper Management is open to new ideas from middle management and employees. The mission and vision and no gossip policy makes the workplace pleasant and full of integrity. Management often networks with top names in the jewelry industry. There is a gaming area with foosball, carpetball and ping pong for lunch/breaktimes. The CEO regularly meets any employees and knows each one personally. A physical therapist comes bi-weekly to help anyone with back/neck pain.

Svantaggi

The no-metal/ no cellphone policy is annoying but understandable since the company handles precious metals and patented designs. The CEO is prone to have a one track mind but is humble enough to apologize when he is wrong. Working for high-end clients can lead to a stressful environment.

Some great co-workers that I will miss

Workplace feels like a prison. Google the Brooklyn Army Terminal. The building itself looks like a prison. No metal allowed. No cell phones allowed. Some supervisors even count how many times you go to the bathroom. Don't dare be a minute over 30 minutes for lunch break ! Bad management. Owner, VP, supervisors. Really could use some management classes. Owner is stubborn, seems insane at times, has a big ego and doesn't listen to employees feedback. No air conditioning 2 summers in a row ! No raises in salary and low initial salary offers. I didn't meet one person there who felt they were paid going rate. Long time workers complained about never getting raises. Revolving door here. 75% of employees are new. Most people here don't last more than 6 months. Your job description can be changed at any time. Usually for the worst. Demotions are common.
