This is coming from a high-performing, 25+ year employee. Salary is not competitive (has not been for years). Biggest issue: when economic times are good, merit raises and bonus are mediocre. When times are difficult, senior mgmt sees employee compensation as the FIRST way to cut costs. Keep working the same or harder, but for less pay. But keep doing stock buyback, keep giving stock options to senior mgmt, keep paying out dividends. And never make it up to employees when times are better. They talk about employee engagement, going above and beyond, etc. But the company does not care one whiff about the employee.

Being salary was great you could always make up hours as needed. Starting with 3 weeks of vacation was also a plus.

Management was terrible. Heavy favoritism and toxic leadership. Instead of doing the jobs they push away the people that ask questions and those that actually cared.
