Vantaggi
you MIGHT make some good friends.
Svantaggi
* Very tight social circles within the venue, leading to feelings of isolation during shifts. This also results in managers having "favourites" who ultimately receive the majority of the hours and other opportunities. * Everyone, including the managers, feeds on gossip. This place would cease to exist if it weren't for the toxicity. * You are expected to work everywhere in the venue (bar, floor, and kitchen) for the same salary. * The managers don't seem to realise that employees are working for minimum wage, yet they expect Michelin-level service. * Very understaffed almost every day. The venues are massive, and expecting only one person to close an entire floor or bar is simply unrealistic and unethical. * I was told during the interview process that complimentary food would be provided on every shift, only to be asked to pay for it a few weeks after being hired. I could write a book but these are the ones that stood out.
