Vantaggi
- Amazing patient experience, really good counties to build your BLS and communication skills - Great opportunities for Code 2/ALS upgrade and potential Code 3 experience compared to any other IFT companies - Has some of the best EMT's in the Bay Area that are getting into big careers, great company to build networks - Huge diversity: have met EMT's from all cultures and backgrounds that are looking into so many different career paths. This puts you out of your comfort zone and allows you to grow as a provider
Svantaggi
- Questionable operations members: There are a few amazing supervisors here but certain supervisors will speak with a very condescending tone, it doesn't feel like constructive criticism but rather belittling EMT's and it's cringe to see from an IFT company which supervisors seem to forget that it's a stepping stone agency. - Dispatch culture: Have been in many situations where my off time was not respected. I understand that the attitude is to push out as many calls as possible but this can jeopardize the physical and mental health of our EMT's. - Lack of accountability: Worked here for a year and a half and did not receive my pay raise of $0.50 twice. This means I have worked for a wage of $17/hr for an entire year when I was supposed to be set at $18/hr. If I hardly noticed after a year, I wonder how many EMT's are not getting their deserved raises and if anyone is being held accountable for not following up on these raises.
