Exactly the work environment and position I was looking for. Couldn't ask for better coworkers/owners, I have found my career position.

The only good thing is their Rugs. No ethics or onboarding process. Terrible attitude and continuous lies

Two days of working there and being lied to about an offer being made, by the recruiter, I realised how dishonest and cunning they are. Josh, the owner, was upright honest how he doesn’t trust people and wants them to intern for a month and “see how it goes and where you fit in” when actually the job listed on LinkedIn never existed and was outsourced to india and the salary range on the listing was to trick people into applying because they wont even pay half of that. The first day, when I was actually supposed to get the offer letter, after two online interviews, portfolio review and a test presentation, I was told by Josh how I am a woman in my 20s and he fears that I might leave if I plan to have children, which makes him not trust me. Instead, he wanted me to do an internship, and said “he would cover my expenses” but whenever I would talk about salary, I was told “we will see at the end of this month”. The first and the only two days, no on-boarding or paperwork was done. I was just left alone and forced to find work to do myself, but was still expected to prove to them, how I am capable to do the job. The job title and responsibilities kept changing and increasing, and no structure was ever provided. Salary conversations were always avoided, and I was told to not focus on money, but take this as a great opportunity and exposure that I got to be there. Often times, I found myself going in circles asking people for things to do, who themselves were unsure of what to tell me. When I asked the recruiter/HR guy to speak to Josh about what the deal is, and asked for answers on a clear description of the job as well as salary, I was never given a clear answer and told to come back the next day as Josh was unreachable. Completely disrespected me and my time and showed an attitude for no reason by lying and leading me on to nothing.
