Vantaggi

Interned there for a couple months over the summer, and it was a great learning experience as to what shopper marketing is all about, and the process involved. Great culture, felt a part of the team.

Svantaggi

The internship program seemed a little too loose-there is no intern project (I was the only intern in the office that summer) or structured program that would been seen at larger agencies like Ogilvy and Leo. It was great because there was a bit of flexibility, but missed the camaraderie that is had amongst intern groups.

Vantaggi

The decor is very welcoming, in that it encourages creativity. Also, the fact that birthdays are widely celebrated throughout the company, when they occur. My first day was something I've never experienced anywhere else: my name was displayed on a computer monitor, which was visible to anyone entering the reception area, and there was a bouquet of flowers waiting for me at my new desk! This was truly a first day unlike any other! Another thing that was pleasant was that whenever holiday weekends occurred, the company was very generous with catered food, which was made readily available to their employees.

Svantaggi

Review of one's performance was not adequately communicated. This was due to my immediate supervisor not making this clear to me when I was being considered for hire. She and I had a conflict of personalities, when I unintentionally did things which displeased her, she came off as so intimidating that I found it very difficult approaching her after the fact, despite having apologized. This behavior continued, and the only time I was ever made aware that I was under a probationary period at all was three weeks into my time there, which did not leave much time to improve as best as I could. The end result was that I was terminated, due to "performance failure" My side of things is that this occurred because I was not made aware of any probationary period before I was hired. This and the fact that their work environment was more intensive than my previous experiences are why I could not meet their standards.
