I ran the dinner service and enjoyed working with most of my coworkers. Learned how to use different equipment and acquired skills to produce meals from scratch.

No chance to move up at the school where I was located. Offered promotion to school an hour away and once I turned the job down it was downhill from there. Underqualified manager was promoted because the director retired this past summer. Once the change in management occurred the job took a drastic change for the worse. I was turned into a workhorse, and the manager would sit in the office in front of the computer and wasn't capable of ordering the food and ingredients we needed when we needed them. Also no one was being trained anymore. Just being thrown in to the position and left to figure it out yourself.
