SAP Concur is a lovely place to learn how not to write software, manage teams, and structure organizations. The company is committed not to learn from any decision that they make so once a decision is made it stays that way forever. As a result the work itself is very easy but doing it inside SAP’s walls is very very difficult and those pain points never get resolved. The inter-team collaboration culture is particularly toxic. I have had to work all nighters just because someone on another team, for whom we are the only customer, didn’t want to update twelve lines of code in an API. Truly nothing is going right in this org.
