Vantaggi
It's a good place to start after university. It's also a good place for work-life balance. It's easy to socialize. Environment is relaxed. If you're good in office politics you can get away with little work or get into management easily. Managers in general are paid well, they don't have many responsibilities and are not accountable for much.
Svantaggi
It is not a place for talented or hard-working people. They treat people like numbers. Good work will not be properly rewarded by management as they have no idea about SAP software and the customers. They just do HR related tasks. They can be quickly replaced with no impact as they do very little meaningful work. Management changes often and we get all the time emails about reorgs. In reality a manager who has been 'instrumental' is leaving for a better paid job. Managers don't listen to suggestions to improve the services to customers or improve the performance and skills of the employees. They have no incentives to do so. They just want the numbers in their department to grow. When an excellent employee resigns, they don't try to keep him or her. They could offer a pay rise or some benefits to keep the person. But they let the person go and will hire a few clueless low-paid graduates instead... Soon they hire a clueless team lead from somewhere to deal with the cluelessness of the team. Then we need some clueless escalation teams to deal with angry customers. Great! More numbers! More jobs! The company is growing! We'll be soon a thousand employees in Galway...
