My manager does not know what I am doing. I think he just stays here since late 80s waiting to get retired. -> What do I need to get promoted? This is not transparent and subjective. -> Our product sucks and people don't believe there is going to be tomorrow. When I was about to start my job at SAP, I was reading all these positive reviews and "Great place to work" reports... One thing which catches the eyes from day one are facilities - the headquarters buildings are old, look like an average university inside as opposed to all these new and shiny IT companies. Sometimes I get a feeling SAP is stuck in the 90's. And again facilities - why there is almost no one clearing the office... They vacuum probably once a week or month.
