I was hesitant to share this but was encouraged by other reviews of colleagues who seemed to have faced similar experiences with HR. SAP HR has a history of not supporting women who are facing harassment in the workplace. They are slow to act and when they do they will ask the person who reported the situation to make all the adjustments. Unless you escalate it, those accused of harassment will face little penalty while those who experienced it are made to feel guilty for even reporting it.

We support our employees by providing multiple forums to report incidents which we objectively investigate in order to implement effective resolutions; confidentiality requirements restrict the disclosure of consequence details. The people at SAP are genuinely nice, and the culture is generally supportive. The work-life balance is good to an extent, but when you're busy, you're BUSY. SAP is highly complex so expect to take a year to ramp up.

Only way to get a high salary is if you're hired externally. They do not reward employees who are loyal to the company. Closed opportunities often have to go through the Compensation Exception Committee, creating uncertainty around earnings. Prepare for constant change, whether that's solutions being removed from your sales bag, account shifts, territory realignments, or changing compensation policies. Quotas can be difficult to attain
