You don't get promoted for years together. Goals are unclear and not specific. Unrealistic goals are set. No performance parameters hence at the end of the year you don't know whether you did good or bad. You have to wait for the bonus email to know if you did good or bad. Growth is slow to negligible in terms of individual role. Good work is taken by seniors and the operational part is handed over to others in the team. Ambitious folks cant grow. Manager says that he is not into micromanagement but at the end of the day is a control freak. Compensation is way below market standards.
