Just to be clear, the HR team is never in a position to determine anyone’s destiny at SDI. They simply act as a resource to help the functional leaders with their talent needs. Sometimes, people aren’t a good fit. That happens. And in an entrepreneurial environment like ours, it becomes apparent very quickly if we aren’t a good fit for each other. But thanks to the way HR teams up with the functional leaders, we’ve become much better at recruiting the right people and retaining them. Our retention rate has improved year over year.
