seepex is an interesting global company with one owner in Germany so take all stereotypical good and stereotypical bad about a large ($100M global) privately held company. Core products are high quality with many niche markets. Money in sales can be very good and remaining salaries within company will be competitive. The day to day business is fairly routine so as long as everyone does their job, the days aren't very stressful. There's just not much to differentiate this employer from another.

If you work at HQ in Ohio, there aren't too many Cons. The President can be micromanaging and has a temper but most figure out his triggers and work to avoid them, sometimes to the determent of the growth goals. You'll be paid a fair wage, work decent hours and the work atmosphere is nice (a brand new building). On balance, it's no worse or no better than another employer. If in sales, look out. Unless you need the job or are trying to move from distribution to manufacturing, I don't recommend you work here. They either outright lie or lie by omission about the bonus plan. When interviewing, you will be told about all the ways you can make additional money above basic bonus but they forget to detail how they will take money away from you under certain circumstances. Be sure to ask about ALL the details of the bonus program. They have a frequent habit of blaming sales when numbers are soft and forget all the times HQ messed up an order or offer and we lost that customer forever. I felt the management team that did an amazing job growing the company from zero to it's current level isn't the same team capable of growing the company to the next level. The core product is good but they are trying to grow fast and the additional products they are adding aren't ready and could be shipped incorrectly built. The sales gig used to be good here but with the high sales goal and lack of new products to help increase revenue, it was just stress and rants by the President. If they get their product portfolio established to meet growth goals, it will be a good place to work in sales. Until then, it's just not worth it.
