Vantaggi
Moving from a local competitor to SGC was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I don't want to sound like I'm overstating it, but that is honestly how I feel. The pay is better, the team is better (professionally and socially), and the work experience is better. During my previous job at a larger firm, I was pigeon holed into a particular role, largely ignored unless I needed to clean up after someone else's mistake, and I felt like I was just a utilization rate number at the end of the day. Now I feel empowered to make my own day, and make it successful for both myself, my team, and the company. I write my own proposals and lead my own projects. I make decisions about what I want to get involved in. I have a voice in what direction we move as a team/office/company... It's great to feel involved, instead of just another pawn in someone else's poorly played game of chess.
Svantaggi
For those that come to work expecting someone else to micromanage your day, the change can be uncomfortable initially. There is no micromanagement. You need to be self sufficient, and contribute to the team. If you thrive in that environment, then there are no issues. But if you're looking to be spoon fed, look elsewhere.
