      You'll learn a lot and will have some good experience to take to your next job. The pressure is high so if you can perform well at SHIFT, you'll do great anywhere.

      Siloes with teams. If there's a small mistake, the mid- to senior-management tries to embarrass entry-level AAEs, account executives, and other senior account executives in front of everyone, it's sad and very toxic. Lots of cattiness.

However, we really appreciate you taking the time to let us know how you felt, as every employee experience is important to us. Feedback allows us to continuously improve as a team and make SHIFT a better place for everyone. It’s unfortunate to learn about your experience after your departure. We’d have welcomed the opportunity to live our core values of Courageous, Accountable and Encouraging by addressing any behavior and performance issues with you and your manager directly. Professional development, including training newer managers up on people management skills, is critical to the success of any agency and SHIFT is no different. Not surprisingly, professional development took a back seat to navigating the pandemic this past year, but it’s back as core to our plans once more in 2021.       I was hesitant to join another agency after a couple of “standard” agency experiences- chronically overservicing accounts, regularly working late, high manager turnover and a senior team that only paid lip service to staff challenges. But a recruiter insisted that SHIFT was different and I am so happy I joined the agency four years ago. SHIFT truly is different and cares about its people just as much as the clients we work with. Work-life balance? Check. Supportive colleagues? Check. A culture without politics? Check. Clients who treat us well? Check. Clear career progression? Check. Added to the caring culture, I am constantly wowed (but not surprised) by the smarts of my colleagues at all levels. My colleagues constantly bring high quality creative thinking, consultancy and results to our clients. SHIFTers are a wonderful combination of relentless and curious, plus other key traits. Overall, SHIFT is the agency that’s walking the talk and doing things right. Keep it up!

      When I first joined, some of the benefits weren’t great, but since SHIFT has become a Padilla agency the benefits are so much better across the board.
