I had never worked a sales job before this and found out through this opportunity that it's not for me. I lasted two weeks with SolComm but this was overall a good experience. I'd recommend to anyone who is outgoing and right out of college to give this a try. If nothing else, it will teach you the importance of being prepared, organized, and in the moment at work, which are all qualities that translate. -positive environment - it's contagious here -product (At&t U- Verse) truly is better than the competition (but not like way, way better) -fun job! (even though i rarely made a sale, the people I ran into were interesting) -big time upward mobility if you are a star salesman (If you make 40 sales/month for 2 straight years you WILL have your own office) (they are not kidding about this)

-ultimately it is a door to door sales job (paycheck is on you alone) -interview can be deceiving (keep in mind that your interviewer is an elite salesman - you are most likely not him) -gas money -the industry changes a bit year to year (You are dependent on the quality of At&t U-Verse) -no benefits (have a wife w/ health insurance or have no kids)

Sales is a job that requires individuals to be able to connect with others, communicate well, and think on their feet. Our job at SOLCOMM is to teach candidates who are willing to learn these skills. However, depending on what you come in with, it can sometimes take longer than two weeks before you can fully develop. As for benefits, as opposed to offering a one choice fits all plan, our company has chosen to let our Sales Representatives take advantage of the Affordable Care Act. We provide generous monthly bonuses ranging from $700 to $3500, which allows our reps to choose the level of coverage that is best suited for their needs.

The people. The people that you work with Solcomm keep you motivated and precise. I've learned a lot in a short amount of time working with this company and it's amazing to see how much I've grown. Given this was my first internship, it was a remarkable experience and I constantly see myself looking back at this one!

Before I was hired I was making $24,000 a year, I have made around $7,500 every month I've worked for the company. The pay is amazing...I've paid off two credit cards and purchased a nice car while saving up a few thousand dollars. The training structure used to not be as great, but due to new managerial staff the training pretty much guarantees success for you. The work environment is fun, energetic, and competitive. I make more in bonuses with Solcomm then I did with my entire previous salary! The business plan of the company allows me to move up the company as fast as I want. The current direct sales contract they have is with AT&T U-verse which is no where near it's market saturation, so the future with the company is very promising. I highly recommend Solcomm/AT&T to anyone who is tired of boring jobs, with mediocre pay, and no room for moving up in the company. People who want to be stretched towards their greatest potential as entrepreneurs will love this job!

There isn't much room for laziness and mediocrity. So whenever I feel like not wanting to grow towards the best I can be I have to suck it up and press on. The downside working here is where I used to leave room for taking the easy way out, I really can't here.
