They talk about the nurses as if they are nuns, praising their supposed willingness to angels of mercy with no needs of their own. The reality is that they expect you to work sometimes dangerously under-staffed and not terribly well paid. Lack of upper management support when something goes really wrong. They will punish you for a WC injury unless you do your regular job despite orders against it and without complaining, and pretend they have not asked you to do so, but that you insist. They are terrified of firing a minority staff person, so they insult the excellent minority staff by forcing them and non-minorities to work with them indefinitely, even if their performance is AWFUL or even dangerous.
