Very good people at middle managment and lower levels. Sometimes a good work/life balance. Training opportunities available. Win bonuses paid to many different employees supporting proposals, not just business developer. Some good support for employees and people being let go.

Constant turnover of senior leaders and constant changes in organizations at headquarters. Office culture is supposed to be "like a family," but different managers and different VPs vary widely in how they handle that, without any oversight or correction for those who act badly (sometimes very badly). The company can handle firings poorly, in many cases.
