Vantaggi

It really depends on what you're looking for. -If you're in your early to mid-twenties you'll probably appreciate the social aspect of the company. They run a lot of incentives, free beer, trips away and so on. - The training was good, by the standard of other recruiters out here, but I am not sure who is left to deliver it. - Generally speaking, as a place to start your career, its okay. They have a very high headcount compared to other agencies here, which means they are splitting or trialling markets so your success is really going to come down what desk you end up in, and whether it was a good idea to start with. And as I mentioned don't assume the people that are making that decision know what they are doing. - Assuming that's all good, then the systems, infrastructure and so forth are all as you would expect of a big company.

Svantaggi

So I am going to try and not be too negative here but: - If you're older then 25, then you're probably one of the oldest people there. The business is mainly British back packers scraping through the 457 cull, so its everything that you would imagine that to mean. - The management is a clique and if you're not in it then you're not going anywhere, regardless of your performance, or someone else's incompetence, it's a boys club. - There is an outward message of diversity, and inclusiveness but I certainly didn't see any evidence of that in reality, and actually it was quite the opposite at times. - Past senior consultant, you may really struggle to find a role model in that business, to the point of wondering how people have managed to get the jobs they have. - All that money they're spending on incentives, and free beer... thats coming out of your commission. Not even the senior management will be able to explain the commission structure to you.

It’s good to hear that you got so much out our training programme and that SThree gave you a great start. We pride ourselves in being able to offer people a long term career and I strongly believe we are a meritocratic organisation that enables people to work their way up based on their work and skills – I’m a good example of this. I am sorry to see you have a negative perception of management but I appreciate your advice and will feed back to our teams. Your comment on the commission structure is something we are aware of and we are currently reviewing it to bring more clarity. I am concerned however about your comment on diversity and inclusiveness. This is another area where we’ve come a long way, we’ve launched a number of initiatives that have made a real difference and we’ve not hesitated to take strong measures where needed. Our employee survey twice a year helps us to keep our finger on the pulse and take appropriate actions locally. Thanks again for your feedback. All the best.

Vantaggi

Great office building location, company culture, and generous PTO.

Svantaggi

There is a large emphasis of meeting metrics and KPIs. Seems as though management is more focused on hitting daily numbers rather than celebrating actual wins. There is not a lot of training involved in the process of actually acquiring clients. First few months will be training and filled with lots of meetings about getting candidates for jobs that don’t exist. A lot of the job is luck and money is largely dependent on what area you’re working in and your managers connections as well. Definitely not a job where you should expect to make commission within your first year or two.
