The house supervisor doesn't support the staff well when we bring forward our concerns. When I called in sick, I was expected to find my own coverage which was stressful as I was feeling delirious and not in a position to look up numbers and call my colleagues to cover my shift. I was made to feel guilty for something I had no control over. I also didn't get the best training. I would be assigned to shadow other staff who didn't seem interested in teaching me and they would spend most of their time on their phone and not engaging with the clients. My supervisor just signed me off without checking in on whether I was receiving the appropriate training. It was just sloppy. There is also a great divide between the front line staff and the leadership. Senior leadership not interested in receiving feedback to improve the care and workload.
