1- I worked at Baser's lab at illinois before it moved to st louis and I had the worst experience as the lab is very chaotic and the management style would cause you depression, many students and postdocs have left after a short time 2- The city is very dangerous and you would hear gun shooting all the times 3- The university isn't research oriented, so you'd practically have very little support unless you cant eat, dont go there
